About Dixon & Company

"History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed.  They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats."                   - Bertie C. Forbes
Corporate Overview
At Dixon & Company, our mission is simple: to provide personalized investment advice* that helps minimize our clients’ financial concerns and helps increase their confidence in investing.  Charles Dixon understands that every client has individual needs. Our role is to help you make knowledgeable decisions about your investments—striving to provide you with greater financial sovereignty. Our investment strategies seek to enhance your success.  Our goal is to establish a growing portfolio that helps optimize returns and helps lower volatility.  We offer securities and advisory services through SagePoint Financial, Inc., one of the country’s leading independent broker-dealers. This union allows Dixon & Company to provide comprehensive quarterly performance reports, detailed tax information, and high levels of advice and service at a reasonable cost. Dixon & Company is one of the highest producers within the SagePoint family.
While each of our clients is unique, they all have one thing in common: They want unbiased investment advice from an experienced professional. Our clients look to Dixon & Company for help in preserving their capital and assistance in providing growth in their portfolios*. We understand you work hard for your money and we hope you will look to us for guidance. Putting together a portfolio of securities is like building a wardrobe.  Even if your closet if filled with top-of the-line attire, that may not be enough.  All those components need to work together as an outfit.  Investment portfolios are the same way.  We will help you tailor your portfolio and keep it in good condition.
Our Approach
When you start working with Dixon & Company, we become your “personal chief financial officer,” giving the needed resources to coordinate all of your financial needs. Our staff of strategic professionals can handle your estate planning, retirement planning, and tax planning. Our motivated team approach make us more efficient rather than working as  individuals.
Unlike many advisors, we are an independent firm with no proprietary investment products to push. Our approach is different—we are a "fee for service" company. We have found that for many clients, a fee-based approach may be more advantageous than a commission-based approach. Our fees vary depending on portfolio size, type of assets, management style and, in some cases, performance.  Because our fees increase only if your portfolio grows, our interests are aligned with yours. Wouldn't you rather have your advisor's compensation tied to their performance?  We focus on your financial objectives and your future.
Our Investment Process
Before we begin developing your investment strategy, we take a hard look at where you are today. We assess your investment goals, available resources, desired rate of return, and risk tolerance. This research allows us to customize a plan to fit your specific needs.
Asset allocation is the process of allocating investment funds into different asset classes.  This process is designed to help increase your expected return for your specific level of risk. Studies show it is responsible for more than 90 percent of the variations in portfolio performance—so choosing the right asset allocation for you is our top priority.  Investors should understand that asset allocation cannot assure a profit or protect against a loss.
Our interest in your success doesn’t stop there, we carefully monitor your progress and compare it to your goals. We make periodic adjustments to rebalance your portfolio, ensuring that our strategies stay on track with your needs. Our philosophy is that we will not take unnecessary risks. Our emphasis is always on capital preservation.
Business Purpose
We help you work toward creating a more independent and confident lifestyle.   We know you have a choice when it comes to financial services, which is why we strive to exceed your expectations.  We recognize every client deserves respect, understanding, and individual attention.  We do our utmost to create positive defining moments in your life.  We see our clients as friends.   We are here to meet your needs.

*Rebalancing investments may cause investors to incur transaction costs and, when rebalancing a non-retirement account, taxable events will be created that may increase your tax liability. Rebalancing a portfolio cannot assure a profit or protect against a loss in any given market environment.
*Investors should be aware that investing based upon strategies or models, such as asset allocation, does not assure a profit or guarantee against loss. With any investment vehicle, past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
